Venezuelan national busted with over 5,000 kilos of cocaine
A Venezuelan national was on Monday allegedly caught with over 5,000 kilograms of cocaine at Grant Woodland, Lower Pomeroon River.
In a brief statement, the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) said that ranks conducted a follow-up operation in the Grant Woodland, Lower Pomeroon River area and steered a search of Gavin Adams’ residence.
During the search, five brick-like parcels containing a whitish powdery substance suspected to be cocaine were found. Oritz Sergio Rafeal, 35, was arrested and escorted to CANU’s headquarters along with the narcotic, which tested positive for cocaine and weighed 5.600 kilograms.
