Venezuelan national, who wounded woman fined $80k or face 6 weeks imprisonment
A Venezuelan national who wounded a woman last week was today fined $80,000- or face six-weeks imprisonment.
Julio Marino appeared before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court and pleaded guilty to the charge.
The charge stated that on August 25, 2022, at Pere Street, Kitty, Georgetown, he unlawfully and maliciously wounded Aida Antonio.
The Court heard that Antonio suffers from mild swelling to the lower lip due to the assault. There are also superficial lacerations to the lip.
