Wanted man arrested in Suriname

Dequan King called Titus or Quanie of D Field Sophia who is wanted by police in Guyana was arrested in Suriname on Sunday evening by the Regional Assistance Team Paramaribo (RBTP) in collaboration with the National Security Directorate (DNV).

He was arrested in connection with a murder committed last week in French Guiana where the victim was shot dead. After allegedly committing the crime, King fled to Suriname where he was apprehended.

He is expected to be extradited from Suriname in accordance with the applicable procedures.

King is wanted by local police for questioning in relation to a robbery under arms committed on Wallison Enterprise where armed men stormed and escaped with a quantity of raw gold and millions in cash on August 05, 2021. Three persons have already been charged with this crime.

According to the police, King is the principal offender in the crime and was the driver of the motorcar which was used to transport the suspects to and from the robbery scene. Wanted bulletin was issued for two other individuals who took part in the crime.
