Woman clinging to life following Ann’s Grove murder/suicide
Days after she was brutally chopped and burned by her husband, who killed their son and took his life, 53-year-old Sharon Bobb is fighting at the Georgetown Public Hospital to stay alive.
In a brief interview with this newscast, one of the woman’s relatives said that while her condition had stabilised, it is now on a downward trajectory. In light of this, they are hopeful that she survives the brutal attack.
MTV News Update had reported that Sharon and her husband, Leon Bobb, had an ongoing domestic dispute in which he would accuse her of having extra-marital affairs.
However, on Wednesday last, Police said at about 02:30h, Sharon was seen running out of her house with blood on her clothing while Leon reportedly chased behind her with a cutlass in his hand, telling her to come back into the house.
The woman then raised an alarm, shouting, “Leon chopped Seon.” The woman who managed to escape was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital by her daughter. She was admitted as a patient suffering from a wound to her left side neck, right hand, and burn marks about her body.
Further, Police ranks who responded to the scene found the couple’s son, Seon Bobb, lying motionless on a mattress.
A large wound was seen on the left side neck while his father was found lying on a blood-soaked bed in a room, with a large wound to his abdomen with his intestine protruding.
A blood-stained knife and cutlass were found under the bed Leon was on. He was escorted to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where he died while receiving medical treatment. The son was pronounced dead at the scene.
