Woman sets child’s father on fire after he accused her of removing his money
Edmond Moses, a 32-year-old taxi driver, was on Wednesday set on fire by his child’s mother after he accused her of removing cash from his wallet.
Reports are that at about 18:30, Moses of New Market Street, South Cummingsburg, checked his wallet and discovered $18,000 missing. He then asked his child’s mother if she had taken the money.
She reportedly said no, and a heated argument ensued between the two. During the quarrel, the suspect, who had a plastic container with a liquid substance suspected to be gasoline, threw it on Moses and set him on fire.
The victim began rolling on the ground, and when the fire was extinguished, he was assisted to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where he was admitted. While his condition is listed as stable, MTV News Update understands that the suspect confessed to the crime, stating that Moses usually accuses her of stealing his money.
