“You guys are doing a fantastic job,” Georgetown Mayor tells Express International Leadership

As a follow-up from the Express International “Ken Kares” Foundation launch, the Mayor of Georgetown, Ubraj Narine on Tuesday, met with the company’s Leadership Team.


Prior to the top-level engagement, Mayor Narine was given a tour of the Express International facility at Hadfield Street.


Several issues, including parking, were discussed, and the Mayor committed to offering support where necessary. He further emphasised, “I feel this company is a great one; it creates employment for young Guyanese; Complements to you. You guys are doing a fantastic job.”

Express’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Ken Deocharran and Managing Director, Kamaria Crawford, also committed to partnering with the Mayor and City Council on future projects that might be of mutual benefit.


Book-A-Ride

Mayor Narine was also briefed on Express International’s newest business venture, Book-A-Ride (BAR).


Book-A-Ride is a ridesharing company owned by the Express Group of Companies, which intends to revolutionise Guyana’s transportation industry by primarily emphasizing technology utilization and improving transportation safety.


The official launch is slated for August 5, featuring Dancehall and Pop Superstar Jada Kingdom and Soca sensation Nessa Preppy and chutney artist Savita Singh alongside popular local singers at the Tower Poolside.


Ken Kares

Earlier this month, Express International launched its “Ken Kares” Foundation, geared towards fulfilling its corporate social responsibility, and completed a clean-up campaign on the Kingston seawalls that saw more than 140 employees and special invites collecting 1300 lbs. of garbage in collaboration with the Mayor’s office, representatives of Seawalls and Beyond, EPA, and the American Chamber of Commerce & Industry Guyana (AmCham)
